But in this case, the friend has never looked better – the restoration work done on these shorts is nothing short of amazing. Growing up, Looney Tunes shorts were a TV staple so watching this version was like visiting an old friend. I spent most of my time on the first record with the shorts. I’ve been watching the Blu-Ray edition for a few days, and it’s beautiful. The DVD set has an SRP of $26.99 and the Blu-Ray is priced at $44.98. The third disc, available only with the Blu-Ray version, contains hours of lost WWII documentaries and cartoons. The second disc also contains 25 shorts, with a fan-choice selection (“Wabbit Twouble”), several complete collections for more obscure characters, and several classic one-shots. The first disc features 25 iconic shorts featuring all your WB favorites – Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd they are all here. This compilation includes 50 cartoon shorts, all remastered and carefully restored. The Looney Tunes Platinum Collection Volume 2 DVD and Blu-Ray set is set to hit stores this Tuesday, October 16.
